Kyle & Cynthia: Rapid City Engagement Photographer

These two. I couldn’t possibly love them more, but I have a sneaking suspicion that the closer their wedding day gets, and the more time I get to spend with them, that I will continue to fall for them and their story.

Kyle and Cynthia took an otherwise lack-luster, cloud-filled afternoon, and turned it into something magical—full of laughter and warmth. I’m sure those of you who know them know exactly what I’m describing. And I’m sure you fell right into love with them, too.

Thanks, friends, for making this day such a fun time of getting to know one another. So glad to have met you. Enjoy a few of my favorites! —js

Cynthia, what’s your favorite thing about your Kyle?
The thing that makes Kyle truly special to me is the quality of his heart. It’s kind and gentle and through it he sees the good in everyone around him. His patience is unending, his convictions are quiet but solid, and his love is strong, strong, strong.

You knew you’d marry him when…
They say that life is not made up of one big thing, but a million little things. There isn’t an exact moment I knew I would spend my life with Kyle, but I know that between zero things and a million little things I came to the realization that I didn’t want to spend my life without him and the unwavering love, friendship, and support he has always shown me.

Kyle, what’s your favorite thing about your Cynthia?
I can’t say I have one favorite thing about Cynthia. Cynthia is my favorite person. Her love is unconditional, her heart is always in the right place, and she’s that person who knows me better than I know myself – potential and shortcomings. She’s open and honest, loyal and caring, generous and empathetic. She wants me to be happy and I can always trust that she will help me be the best person I can be. That means the world to me. She once told me that the most important thing we can do with our lives is that which pulls at our heartstrings. Being her best friend has always done just that – and always will.

You knew you’d marry her when…
After eleven years of friendship, marriage became second to commitment and I never tied the two together – I don’t think Cynthia did either. We both have dreams and goals and there have been decisions over the years that have challenged our relationship. I knew I would be committed to Cynthia when I realized that she was willing to make sacrifices for the sake of our relationship and my hopes and dreams. That’s how I knew we were in it for the long haul and that’s when I viewed us as a team for life.
